Cat Allergy?
lala asked:
Two years ago we adopted a kitten from the humane society in our state. A few months later we noticed that our cat had a large bald patch around its back. We took him to the vet who diagnosed him with allergies possibly to fleas. We’ve been treating him with monthly flea medicine and it will get better for several months and then it will get worse. It subsists in the winter even though there are no fleas. Our cat lives a very normal life but I just wish there was someway we could get rid of it or another diagnosis that would make more sense.

there’s not really much else you can do…if the symptoms carry on even when there are no fleas, it may be allergic to something other than the fleas - maybe a household product or another pet (if you have others!) Check with your vet to see if there are other allergy possibilites, otherwise just continue to take good care of your kitty!
maybe its pulling its hair out because its distraught over something. you should check for tufts of hair. one cause could be a member of the family being away?
